Product Review and Unboxing - Need For Speed The Run

Race for your life !! That is the main motto for the latest Need For Speed The Run games. I bought this game on the launched date, 15th November at Asia Games Channel store, e@Curve. As a member, I paid MYR 175.00 for it. Here are some of the unboxing pictures:
Need For Speed The Run
The content

The bonus content for the Limited Edition is including:
* Lamborghini Aventador
* Porsche 911 Carrera S
* Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
* 5 exclusive challenges

As a Need For Speed fan, I have been following this game since its first original Need For Speed games. For this latest game, I am quite disappointed with the storyline and some of its feature. The storyline or plot is quite weak and straightforward, I would expect more from this new Need For Speed sequel. And also I hate the Reset feature, spoiling the excitement during the gameplay. Overall rating, I would give 6 / 10.

Till then...

Food Review – Gulam Mee

Located in Kota Damansara, Gulam Mee was found by us on last fasting month in August. Accidentally we buy book by Maria Tunku Sabri, Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan (JJCM) and this place is one of the restaurant appeared there. We decide to give it a go. Mainly bcoz myBoo is a big fan of fried noodle and he is very skeptical on that. Any place can beat his favorite ‘Mee Goreng Pokok Ceri’?? often he’ll said that.

It is not hard to locate this place. And surprisingly, this place was very convenient on the lots of parking spaces and the shop itself can fulfil more than 100 pax at one time. The concept is like food court with stalls build with various choice of local food. It is unique. Each stall is decorated on bicycle like in an old time, where hawker cycling around village to sell food from house to house.

Randomly we visit this place once or twice fortnightly. myBoo keep his loyalty with their fried noodle (I agree that this fried noodle on par with Mee Goreng Pokok Ceri) while I’m keep trying on their varieties of food. There are various soups, (beef, chicken, oxtail) served with noodle, rice noodle or rice. There is also nasi lemak, char kuew tiaw, rojak, otak-otak, ABC and many more. Last visit I had myself fried maggi mee. Its good. Not oily and not too much MSG.

Hot tea in rainy day... refreshing

 Give this place a go, as u can hang out with friends and family in evening or dinnertime. Till then~~

p/s: Mee Goreng Pokok Ceri is located in Butterworth, Penang. I have been there once when we are in Penang for ex-classmate wedding. We struggled with googlemaps to locate this place. And I learned something there also, ‘don’t judge the food by shop’s appearance’! hahaha…

Food Review – Uptown Damansara

Confession: I and myBoo are often eating-out. Almost every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) we will go out and have our breakfast (this will be very early in the morning, 7am – 8am we are out) or brunch (around 10am – 11am). From there we’ll schedule for our outing, having snack during lunch time (coz we took heavy breakfast) and opted for heavy meal for tea-time (replacing our lunch and dinner altogether). Alternately on Sunday I will cook and we have our quiet Sunday at home. With me helping out my sister and he will be a very loyal watcher and commenter. *grin*

Our destination for weekend is always Uptown Damansara. Why? Coz there we have at least four places that we claimed ourselves as ‘regular customer’. Despite of the challenge getting your car park legally, at least we’ll be there for 2 or 3 times a month (Note: each shop ya) either for breakfast or dinner. But now the facilities are much better. There are seventh floor car park zones (MYR1 for first 3 hours) on top of the food court. Here is I listed down the shops that we honored ourselves as ‘regular customer’;

  1. Killiney Kopitiam
The ambient of this place is cozy and comfortable. Food served here was typical kopitiam dishes but u can find the taste here is different from other kopitiam. The specialties here are Nasi Lemak Bungkus and toast bread. The kaya jam was home-made, with pandan flavor; the bread was toasted to perfection. Do try other dishes as well. U will find u coming back here.
Killiney Kopitiam
Nasi Lemak Bungkus
  1. Village Park
This place was famous as ‘the best nasi lemak shop in town’. U will find the shop hectic with waiters running errands and shouting ‘panas panas’ in order for them to get their ways through fully packed customer who either take away their food or having it there. Honestly, quite hard to find yourself lucky to get table and chair easily as this shop always full of people. Open from 7am to 7pm everyday, this shop specialty is Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng. The chicken was deep fried, tender and juicy. Besides ayam goreng, they also have beef rending, chicken rending, sambal sotong, sambal udang and quite a no of other lauk for u to have with nasi lemak. Not just that, they do served Nasi Dagang, Soto Ayam, Curry Mee and sliced thin toast bread. Park your car on the parking zone at Uptown food court, there will be shuttle van services for u to get here.

  1. Uptown Food Court(Hawker)
Here is happening in evening. Do come here around 7pm until late night. Various stall selling various food will served u. There are yong tau fu, western, ala carte Malay foods, name it, u can find it here. Our favorite for dinner here is western food and also ala carte. Often we ordered siakap tiga rasa, salted fish kailan or tom yam. Price was cheap though. It is suitable for hanging out with friends or just simple dinner with family on weekdays or weekend.

  1. Vicchuda Restaurant
This shop located at the same row of CIMB Bank and Maybank. They served thai style foods, hence this place famous for their tom yam. Do try their siakap tiga rasa, but I recommend this dishes if u are coming with family or friend three people and more as their fish was big. They also offered goreng-goreng food like Nasi Goreng Cendawan and many more.

There are our favorite shops for eating-out in Uptown Damansara. What’s yours?
Till then~~

Food Review – South Sea Seafood Restaurant

Honestly, myBoo and I am big fan of makan-makan. However, along the time, we never set foot in seafood restaurant simply bcoz we do not really keen and we are not in mood of seafood (I have been twice with my colleague in office). After all, weeks back we decide to give it a go. Our destination, South Sea Seafood Restaurant located in Kg Baru Subang, just besides Subang Airport. From Federal Highway or NKVE, u can see the billboard alongside the road. Just follow the billboard, and u will find the place easily.

Alive & Kickin'
 The restaurant has a warm and nice ambient. There are also spacious parking spaces so no hassle to park your park. The restaurant is on the side of the plane runway; hence, u can sneak out airplane on their landing while enjoying your meal.

Ready to serving
We decide to leave a fish behind (since we ate fish regularly) and try on other menu. Therefore, we took rice, kangkung belacan, deep fried squid and chilli crab. The kangkung was good; u can taste the belacan mix in with kangkung. Not like some other places, u can only have the smell of belacan but not the taste. The squid were crunchy, even after half an hour; it still gives u the crunchiness. Last but not least, our crab was here!! It took around sometimes for these dishes to come out. Nevertheless, heavenly, the crab was cook perfectly. It tastes juicy and fresh. The portion is big, two large crabs (for two of us, it is BIG). Looking at other table, we realized that apparently we could only ask for one crab only. Hehe… will note that for other time.

Owh… all seafood here was still alive before they go into wok and on your table. Therefore, freshness is no one here. Suitable for family dining and gathering, this place will not give u disappointment. Our bill that day comes out MYR130. We definitely will come back again. Till then~~

Movie Review – Tower Heist

My first thought when I saw this movie trailers is ‘wow’. Why? Bcoz I can’t contain my laugh when I saw Eddie Murphy’s face! Hahaha… yes, he’s one of the leading actors in this movie.

Tower Heist
Tower Heist is crime comedy film, a story about Josh Kovacs (Ben Stiller) who’s working as a manager in one of the most prestigious service apartment in New York City, Tower. His relationship with one of the tenants and the most respected person in Wall Street, Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda) make him decided on investing his staff’s pension in the Ponzi scheme. When Shaw was caught by FBI, Josh realized that all the pension investment was gone. Reluctant to see his staffs’ disappointment when they learn their hard-earn-money for all those long years was nowhere to be seen, Josh team up with Charlie (Casey Affleck) his brother-in-law who’s working at the same building, Dev’reaux (Michael Pena) a lift technician, and Odessa (Gabourney Sidibe) a housekeeper. The team enlists the aid of criminal Slide (Eddie Murphy) and bankrupt bussinesman Mr. Fitzhugh (Matthew Broderick) to break into Shaw’s penthouse and steal back their money while avoiding the FBI in charge of his case, Claire Denham (Tea Leoni).

This movie is fun, suspense, full of laughter and……. I am calling everyone to go and watch this movie! It’s good. People always say laughter is a good medicine, so does this movie. It will blow out your migraine. Hahaha… I’m giving away 4.5 stars out of 5 stars for this movie. Need no more to say. Till then~~
