Located in Kota Damansara, Gulam Mee was found by us on last fasting month in August. Accidentally we buy book by Maria Tunku Sabri, Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan (JJCM) and this place is one of the restaurant appeared there. We decide to give it a go. Mainly bcoz myBoo is a big fan of fried noodle and he is very skeptical on that. Any place can beat his favorite ‘Mee Goreng Pokok Ceri’?? often he’ll said that.
It is not hard to locate this place. And surprisingly, this place was very convenient on the lots of parking spaces and the shop itself can fulfil more than 100 pax at one time. The concept is like food court with stalls build with various choice of local food. It is unique. Each stall is decorated on bicycle like in an old time, where hawker cycling around village to sell food from house to house.
Randomly we visit this place once or twice fortnightly. myBoo keep his loyalty with their fried noodle (I agree that this fried noodle on par with Mee Goreng Pokok Ceri) while I’m keep trying on their varieties of food. There are various soups, (beef, chicken, oxtail) served with noodle, rice noodle or rice. There is also nasi lemak, char kuew tiaw, rojak, otak-otak, ABC and many more. Last visit I had myself fried maggi mee. Its good. Not oily and not too much MSG.

Give this place a go, as u can hang out with friends and family in evening or dinnertime. Till then~~
p/s: Mee Goreng Pokok Ceri is located in Butterworth, Penang. I have been there once when we are in Penang for ex-classmate wedding. We struggled with googlemaps to locate this place. And I learned something there also, ‘don’t judge the food by shop’s appearance’! hahaha…
